Overview
We're looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the execution of large-scale renewable energy projects across North America. This role will be responsible for driving project delivery from early execution through commercial operation, working closely with internal teams, contractors, and key stakeholders. The position is remote but will require occasional travel to active job sites and partner locations.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee full project lifecycle management including contracting, construction oversight, commissioning, and turnover.
Lead the selection and management of EPC partners, negotiate contract terms, and maintain accountability for schedule, cost, and quality.
Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders including utilities, owner's engineers, consultants, and equipment suppliers.
Supervise project execution teams, providing strategic direction and ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and community standards.
Monitor progress against key milestones and coordinate with finance on invoice approvals, payment schedules, and drawdown requests.
Manage owner-furnished equipment logistics-including QA/QC reviews, factory testing, shipment coordination, and site delivery.
Support due diligence processes and reviews by Independent Engineers through the project's financial close and operational phases.
Facilitate interconnection and utility coordination, ensuring timely completion of agreements and technical approvals.
Lead project handoff to Operations and Asset Management teams upon completion and commercial operation.
Manage procurement and supplier relationships for high-voltage components, modules, and major equipment.
Qualifications
Authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available).
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in project or construction management within the energy or renewables sector (developer, EPC, or owner's representative background preferred).
Strong working knowledge of MS Office and MS Project (or equivalent scheduling tools).
Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% of the time for site visits and stakeholder meetings.
