    Company Overview: As part of our commitment to excellence, we are seeking a skilled Electrical Commissioning Specialist to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical commissioning within industrial process and power plant environments, with expertise in distribution and control equipment.

    Location: On-site in Nebraska, United States (5 days a week)

    Duration: Contract position

    Responsibilities:

    1. Commissioning Planning and Execution: Develop commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules for electrical systems and equipment in industrial process and power plants. Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure the timely and efficient execution of commissioning activities.

    2. Electrical System Testing: Perform functional testing, energization, and startup of electrical distribution and control systems, including switchgear, transformers, motors, generators, and instrumentation. Verify the performance and integrity of electrical equipment in accordance with design specifications and industry standards.

    3. Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve electrical issues, malfunctions, and discrepancies encountered during commissioning activities. Work collaboratively with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to diagnose root causes and implement effective solutions.

    4. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, procedures, and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others. Conduct hazard assessments, safety audits, and pre-commissioning checks to mitigate risks and prevent accidents.

    5. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of commissioning activities, test results, equipment specifications, and safety documentation. Prepare comprehensive reports detailing progress, issues, and resolutions for review by project management and stakeholders.

    6. Training and Support: Provide training and technical support to plant personnel on electrical systems, equipment, and commissioning procedures. Share knowledge and best practices to enhance operational efficiency and reliability.

    7. Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure that all commissioning activities meet project requirements, industry standards, and regulatory compliance. Conduct inspections and checks to verify the functionality and performance of electrical installations.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical commissioning within industrial process or power plants.
    • Strong technical knowledge of electrical distribution and control systems, including switchgear, transformers, motors, generators, and instrumentation.
    • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical specifications.
    • Hands-on experience with electrical testing equipment, instruments, and tools used for commissioning activities.
    • Familiarity with safety regulations, codes, and standards applicable to electrical installations and industrial environments.
    • Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Flexibility to work on-site in Nebraska 5 days a week.
