Position Title: Licensed Electrical Journeyman
REQUIRED SKILLS
We are seeking a dedicated individual with the following skills:
- Exceptional customer service orientation
- Positive attitude and high motivation
- Superior problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings
- Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision
- Possession of a valid Licensed Journeyman Electrician Card
- Willingness to travel to jobsites in Illinois and Wisconsin
PREFERRED SKILLS
Preference will be given to candidates with the following skills and experiences:
- Previous experience as Electrical Foreman on utility scale PV installations (Over 5MW)
- Quality control/quality assurance work at utility scale (Over 5MW)
- Familiarity with operating heavy equipment
- Proficiency in interpreting engineering software such as AUTOCAD or Bluebeam
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment with strong communication skills
- Capability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 75 pounds
- Diplomacy and tact in interpersonal interactions with colleagues, county officials, and the public
- Adherence to safety regulations and protocols
- Must be at least 18 years old with a valid Driver's License, a good driving record, and proof of insurance
- Comfort working on roofs if necessary, with knowledge of OSHA and Fall Protection as a bonus
- Fluency in English and Spanish is advantageous
RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will collaborate with the Site Leader/Supervisor to ensure the smooth and efficient completion of projects. Responsibilities include:
- Adhering to construction schedules to meet customer requirements
- Supervising day-to-day operations for a small electrical crew
- Conducting terminations and electrical testing
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements to support business growth
- Providing guidance and mentorship to Electrical Apprentices
