Associate - Renewable Energy Project Finance / Investor Engagement
Remote (U.S.-based, preference for Midwest candidates)
About the Company:
A growing renewable energy developer focused on utility-scale solar, wind, and energy storage projects across the United States is seeking a motivated Project Finance Associate. The team is made up of experienced industry professionals and is expanding its investor network and deal execution capabilities as the company scales its project portfolio.
About the Role:
The Associate will play a key role in executing transactions, managing investor relationships, and supporting project valuations and financial models. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and wants to work directly with senior leadership on high-impact renewable projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Support live M&A and project finance transactions (buy-side and sell-side)
Build and maintain financial models and project budgets
Prepare investor materials, pitch decks, and presentations
Conduct valuations, due diligence, and market research
Track investors, partners, and opportunities in CRM
Collaborate directly with executive leadership on strategic and financial initiatives
Ideal Background:
3-8 years of experience in renewable energy project finance, M&A, or investment analysis
Prior experience at an IPP, renewable developer, infrastructure fund, or investment bank
Proven financial modeling and valuation skills
Excellent communicator with strong analytical and organizational abilities
Comfortable in a small, fast-moving, and dynamic team environment
Degree in finance, accounting, engineering, or a related field preferred
Structure & Compensation:
Flexible contract (1099) structure - ideal for entrepreneurial professionals
