The Senior Instrumentation and Controls Engineer is a key technical professional responsible for developing and completing complex engineering projects. This role involves strategic project management, technical design, and process optimization across instrumentation and control system implementations.
Responsibility:
- Develop and execute comprehensive action plans for instrumentation and control engineering projects
- Ensure project delivery within specified budgets and schedule constraints
- Lead projects from conceptual design through final implementation
- Conduct detailed technical evaluations and prepare sophisticated technical specifications
- Produce comprehensive drawing packages and manage permit submission processes
- Simultaneously manage multiple complex technical projects
- Coordinate project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and contract modifications
- Analyze and optimize control system processes to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers to resolve technical challenges
- Interface with multiple engineering departments and external stakeholders
- Conduct site visits, agency meetings, and technical consultations
Qualificationa:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Instrumentation, or related field)
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration or ability to obtain license
- 10 years of specialized instrumentation and controls engineering experience
- Advanced proficiency in:
- AutoCAD
- AutoCAD Electrical
- Revit
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Comprehensive knowledge of control system design principles and specifications
