    Commissioning Specialist

    Responsibilities:

    1. Project Knowledge:

      • Possess a strong understanding of project plans, specifications, and drawings.
    2. Commissioning Plan:

      • Develop and maintain an overall project commissioning plan, ensuring compliance with contract requirements.
      • Define deliverables and due dates.
    3. Inspections and Coordination:

      • Conduct required inspections on utility PV systems.
      • Lead communication between the project site and the Commissioning team.
      • Collaborate both individually and within a team.
    4. Meeting Minutes and Documentation:

      • Participate in pre-commissioning meetings and all commissioning activities.
      • Prepare and document commissioning meeting minutes, uploading them to construction management software (CMS).
    5. Pre-Energization Activities:

      • Proactively review the site-specific commissioning tracker to cover all pre-energization tasks.
      • Lead site walks and manage the Job Book Table of Contents (TOC) for project-specific requirements.
    6. Safety and Equipment Verification:

      • Verify equipment lockout/tagout (LOTO) before energization.
      • Implement a power control program to maintain safety during project execution.
    7. Project Support and Reviews:

      • Participate in project design document reviews.
      • Review and track test report submittals, ensuring closure before energization.
      • Understand subcontract agreements and commissioning plans.
    8. Audits and Training:

      • Conduct audits of project commissioning documentation for accuracy and completeness.
      • Assist in training project personnel for field verification during commissioning.
    9. Contract Compliance:

      • Ensure commissioning and documentation align with contract requirements.
    10. Proactive Problem-Solving:

      • Constantly address challenges and solve problems.

    Qualifications:

    • 4 years commissioning experience (Utility-Scale solar)
    • Clear understanding of OSHA practices and procedures
    • Training/Certifications in Inverter commissioning and DAS systems, operation, troubleshooting, operations, etc.
    • Experience with solar tracker systems
    • Valid US drivers license
